Anthony C. Cunha Jr., 82, of Wriston Ave., passed away at Kent Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. He was the husband of Patricia M. (O’Brien) Cunha. They would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on Friday, June 2, 2017.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony C. and Sarah (Cotoia) Cunha. Anthony was a self-employed residential contractor for over 40 years before retiring. He graduated from Hope High School, Class of 1952. Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and following the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
He was the father of Karen A. Butler and Daniel A. Cunha, both of Warwick and Patricia L. Breneman and her husband David of Charlotte, NC. Grandfather of Brian P., Eric A., Mark A. Butler, Alex D., Nathan T. and Sarah R. Breneman. Anthony was the brother of Ann Marie Abatiello, Jean Zeilstra, Joyce Roy, Joseph Cunha, Ronald Lutrario and the late Edward Cunha.
His Funeral will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. from the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte. 117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 7 p.m.
