BankNewport plans Saturday celebration at newest branch

BankNewport newest branch at 4000 Chapel View in Cranston will host a grand opening celebration on April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The celebration will include a book signing with Sandra Moyer, author of Cranston Revisited from 10 a.m. until noon, followed by family friendly fun from noon to 2 p.m. with a visit by the Pawtucket Red Sox mascots Paws and Sox, Biomes Marine Biology traveling tide pool, face painting, caricature artist and balloon sculpturing.

The Chapel View location brings BankNewport’s branch total to 16. The branch is located at the main entrance at Sockanosset Cross Road and is adjacent to Panera Bread, offering easy access for customers.

Pattie in a statement. “It is an ideal location and will provide added convenience to area customers, residents, commuters, and businesses to access our full range of financial services, delivered by a local team that they know and trust.”

The new 2,700 square foot state-of-the-art, full service branch features 24/7 electronic banking services, self-service fingerprint accessible safe deposit boxes and a large tech table for customers to set up online and mobile banking accounts in the branch lobby. The branch also has an image-enabled ATM, a night depository, and an outside drive-up ATM.
