Benefits of a partnership

Toll Gate seniors Kayla Lopes and Colin Stamps were each presented $1,000 Wave Federal Credit Union scholarships Tuesday as part of the partnership that has been fostered between the school and the credit union. This year, Wave sponsored the CU4 Reality Financial Literacy Program and Fair with students from the personal finance classes taught by Laurie Mockler and Danielle Carpenter. The business scholarships were presented to students of academic achievement pursuing a business degree. Stamps will be attending URI where he plans to major in kinesiology (study of human movement) with a minor in business. Lopes looks to pursue a career in accounting at Bryant this fall.
