Boating Safety/Power Boat/Sail/Navigation

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary Power and Sail courses start on Mon Feb 27 and run on Mondays and Thursdays from 7 pm to 9:15 pm for 8 weeks. They cover boat handling, weather, Navigation, electronic navigation, Federal Regulations, Aids to Navigation, Marlinspike, PWC’s, and much more. Each evening contains a half hour navigation session. Successful completion of the course results in a RI State Boating card, required to operate a power boat in RI waters, as well as a US Coast Guard Auxiliary certificate. The Navigation course runs Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:15 for 18 sessions. All courses have hands-on lessons. Text books, charts and materials are included.
