Browning claims PAL Sportsmanship Award

Warwick PAL Baseball presented the Patrick Silvia Memorial Sportmanship Award to Kevin Browning last Wednesday.

The award, which has been given annually since 1995, is named after the late Patrick Silvia, a former PAL coach and umpire. Every year, coaches in the league nominate players for the award, and Browning was chosen as this year's recipient. The award recognizes sportmanship, teamwork, hustle and hard work. PAL director Jack Paliotte presented Browning with the award before a fall ball game last Wednesday at Mickey Stevens. Also presenting the award were Patrick Silvia's parents, Jim and Barbara, as well as his brother, Tim.
