Bruce R. Johnson, age 62, of Rodney Road, Warwick, died on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the loving husband of Kathleen A. (Gillis) Johnson. They were married for 38 years.
Born in Cranston, the son of the late Herbert A. and Barbara B. (Froyd) Johnson, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. Bruce was an avid New England Patriots, New York Yankees, and Boston Bruins fan. He was a bowler, golfer, and music enthusiast. He was a diabetic for 58 years.
Bruce was the beloved father of Michelle E. Johnson and Brian R. Johnson, both of Warwick, and the brother of the late Douglas H. Johnson. He also leaves his best friend, Andy Cate.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 6, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a service at 10 a.m. in Woodbury Union Church, Presbyterian, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
