Vacation Bible School
The First Congregational Church of Warwick, 715 Oakland Beach Ave., is having their vacation Bible school July 9-13 from 9 a.m.-12 noon. The theme is "Under the Sea.” All ages are welcome.

Women Bowlers Wanted

Operation Space
Join the Friendship Baptist Church, for Operation Space, a close encounter with God's Word. At Operation Space, you will experience a galactic adventure like no other with exciting crafts, games, skits, snacks, prizes and a carnival. Westbay Farmstand
The Westbay Farmstand is now open on Tuesdays from 3-6 p.m. at the Buttonwoods Community Center parking lot, located on the corner of West Shore Rd. and Buttonwoods Ave. During the season, tomatoes, beets, lettuce, peppers, onions and other vegetables will be on sale. No pesticides or herbicides are used in growing the produce. All proceeds support the Westbay Farm, which provides vegetables for the Westbay CAP Marketplace food pantry. The farm stand accepts senior farmers market coupons.

Warwick Public Library
The Warwick Public Library, 600 Sandy Lane, will be having Breakfast with Books: Summer Event. Find out about new books while enjoying pastries and coffee at the library on July 11 at 10 a.m. The event looks at entertaining and noteworthy titles you may not know about but will want to read. Vacation Bible School

Adventure Camp
The City of Warwick Youth Advisory and Prevention Task Force, Warwick Police Department and the Rhode Island National Guard are now accepting applications for the summer Adventure Camp. The Warwick Police Department and Rhode Island National Guard are looking for students 11-14 years old to participate. Applications can be found on the City of Warwick Police Department web site www.warwickri.gov. Dates for camp are July 10-13, July 17-20 and August 14-17. Cost is $30. Help for Victims of Crime

Old Warwick Grange #41
The Grange is a fraternal community service, non-profit organization with a special interest in rural life and the traditions of faith, patriotism, leadership and family values. Grange-where the whole family can go and grow. Help them to help others. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. No meetings in July or August. The Grange hall is located at 1175 West Shore Rd.

Developmental Screening
The Child Outreach Department of the Warwick Public Schools, in cooperation with the Volunteers of Warwick schools (VOWS), conducts regular preschool screening clinics. All Warwick preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 are offered the Early Screening Inventory-Revised (ESI-R). This is a free service provided by the Warwick Public Schools. Participation in a Developmental Screening is a long established program of the Warwick School Department that provides families with information about their child's development and offers information about community resources. Free Sunday Lunch

Photographic Society of RI

Donate Shop
The Donate Shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit thrift store that provides free clothing to families in crisis. They are an all-volunteer organization that relies solely on the support of the community to continue this endeavor. The shop has a new location at 400 Warwick Ave., Unit #14, between Dunkin Donuts and Shaw's. Domestic Violence Volunteers
The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center (EBCC) is currently seeking volunteers for their Speakers Bureau. All volunteers will be trained to provide outreach, as a representative of EBCC, to communities in their service area through attendance at health and community fairs and by fulfilling requests for informational speaking engagements. Volunteers will receive thorough and specialized training under the supervision of the agency services coordinator before beginning this work. Fife and Drum Corps
The Kentish Guards Fife and Drum Corps rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at the Kentish Guards Armory on Pierce St. in East Greenwich. Free lessons on playing the fife are provided to men and young men interested in joining the corps.

Fife & Drum Corps
Join the Pawtuxet Rangers Fife & Drum Corps of Warwick and continue the great tradition of Colonial/Revolutionary history through music. The Fife & Drum Corps meets every Wednesday night at Wyman Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m. The corps is open to anyone over the age of 12. Drum and fife instruction is available to beginners.
