Tri City Elks
The Tri City Elks will hold a pasta night Feb. 9 from 5:30-7 p.m. Salad, Italian wedding soup, sausage & peppers, pasta, garlic stick, bread & butter, coffee and chocolate éclair cake. $8 all-u-can-eat, kids $4 and kids under 5 eat free.

On Feb. 11 the Elks will have a Valentine's Pajama Jam Dinner at 7 p.m. Music by DJ Jim Fleet. Tickets are $10. Wear your most comfy PJs or creative boudoir attire. Prizes for the most creative. On Feb. 12 the Elks will have a game dinner at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at the bar daily after 3 p.m.

Meadowlark Seniors
A meeting will be held Feb. 9 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Kevin's hall. A Grocery bingo will follow the meeting. Bakers will be Betty Marocco, Jo Massie and Jean Mederios.

Free Boating Seminars
West Bay Yacht Club, located next to McKinley's Pub, 1 Division St., East Greenwich, hosts free seminars for boating enthusiasts. The seminars are open to the public. On Feb. 9 (today) Splicing Seminar at 7 p.m. Splicing a boat line is something that every boater should be able to do. Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. Beginner's Sewing. Whether it's for upholstery repair or for cutting down or altering sails, sewing can come in handy for all boat owners. Bring your own sewing machine. Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. Knots Seminar. Is your knot tying a bit rusty, or have you never been taught the basic knot? They will show you the different types of knots, when to use them and how to make them. On March 3 at 10 a.m. Advanced Sewing. If you need to brush up or see how to apply your skills to boating, join them. Bring your own sewing machine. Please note that some fees may apply to cover cost of materials.

Meat Raffle
The Johnson, Gilchrist, Goff Post #183 VFW, 176 Washington St., will have their 3rd Annual Meat Raffle to benefit "A Wish Come True" from Feb. 11 to April 14 (each Saturday) at 2 p.m.

American Legion Dance
The American Legion Post #15, 1016 Post Rd., East Greenwich, will have Oldies with Bobby Justin Feb. 10 from 7-11 p.m. Admission is $7.

Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner
The William Shields Jr. American Legion Auxiliary Unit #43, will hold a Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner on feb. 10 from 5-8p.m. at the Post Home, 662 West Shore Rd. All are welcome.

Have a Heart Bingo
Bring a non-perishable food item and play an extra bingo at the Pilgrim Senior Enrichment Center, 27 Pilgrim Parkway, on Feb. 12. Doors open at 11 a.m. sharp until 3 p.m. Minimum of 34 winners. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Conimicut Village Association
The Conimicut Village Association will meet on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in the downstairs friendship Room of the Woodbury Union Church. Please use the Carlisle St. entrance. Join your neighbors in planning ahead for upcoming event and projects. Refreshments will be served.

Swinging squares
The Swinging Squares February Dance will be held Feb. 18 from 8-11 p.m. at the East Smithfield Neighborhood Center, 7 Esmond St., Smithfield. The fee is $7 per person. Bob Butler will call and Henry Barry will cue. For more information call Helen at 727-4748.

Welcome Spring Craft Fair
First Congregational Church, 715 Oakland Beach Ave., is having a Welcome to Spring craft fair March 31 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tables will include bakers dream, everything baskets, the book store, white elephant, garden center, beauty shop, jewelry shop, clothing store, and a children's craft table with items made by the children of the church. There are also a few tables available to rent for $25. Call 738-3377 and leave a message and someone will return the call ASAP.

Steel Guitar Jam
A New England Steel Guitar Jam will be held at the American Legion Post#15, 1016 Main St., East Greenwich, Feb. 19 from 1-5 p.m. The kitchen will be open. The band is The Rhode Island Red Necks. Donation is $7.

Valentine Book Sale
The Pet Refuge, a no-kill animal shelter in North Kingstown, is holding a Valentine book sale Feb. 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Cold Spring Community Center, 30 Beach St., Wickford. Browse through hundreds of books, refreshments and desserts will be available. Book donation will be greatly appreciated. Books can be dropped off at the Pet Refuge, 500 Stony Lane, North Kingstown, Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. or at the Cold Spring Community Center Feb. 18 from 1-3 p.m.

2012 Wednesday Senior Softball
Registration is now underway for those 57 and over to join a recreational slow pitch softball league. All games are played at City Park in Warwick on Wednesday mornings. You do not have to be a resident of Warwick to join. The application fee is $20. Deadline for registration is March 15. The playing season is May through September. Sassy Nail Art
Art for Parkinson’s Disease Research/The Sassy Nail Art Collection by Michele Keir opening reception will be held Sunday, Feb. 12 from 2-5 p.m. at 3 Shalom Dr., Warwick. Refreshments will be served. Ham & Bean Supper
Cub Scout Pack 7, sponsored by Ss. Clement’s Church, 11 Long St., Warwick, will hold its first annual ham and bean supper Saturday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the church hall. The menu will include baked ham carved to order, homemade baked beans, cole slaw, roll and butter, coffee, juice and dessert. The cost is $8 per person, children under 5 are free. Tickets are available from any member of the pack or by calling Cubmaster Frank Adams at 739-3183. Takeout is also available.

Spaghetti & Meatball Supper
The First Congregational Church of Warwick, 715 Oakland Beach Ave., is having a spaghetti & meatball supper on Feb. 25 from 4-7 p.m. Enjoy a complete dinner for $9 adults, $4 for children 12 years and under. Children 5 and under eat free.

Cornerstone Church
Cornerstone Church, 1990 Elmwood Ave., Warwick, is now a member of the RI Community Food Bank. Hours of operation are the first and third Saturday from 9-11 a.m. and the second and fourth Monday from 6-8 p.m. For more information call 781-6121.

Snack Bar Committee

Old Warwick Grange #41
The Grange is a fraternal community service, non-profit organization with a special interest in rural life and the traditions of faith, patriotism, leadership and family values. Grange-where the whole family can go and grow. Help them to help others. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. No meetings in July or August. The Grange hall is located at 1175 West Shore Rd.

Developmental Screening
The Child Outreach Department of the Warwick Public Schools, in cooperation with the Volunteers of Warwick schools (VOWS), conducts regular preschool screening clinics. All Warwick preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 are offered the Early Screening Inventory-Revised (ESI-R). This is a free service provided by the Warwick Public Schools. Participation in a Developmental Screening is a long established program of the Warwick School Department that provides families with information about their child's development and offers information about community resources. Free Sunday Lunch
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 389 Greenwich Ave., is offering a free lunch for anyone in need of a meal or companionship. All are welcome every Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For more information call 737-6758.

Rhode Island Pet Bird Club
The R.I. Pet Bird Club welcomes anyone who owns birds or has an interest in exotic birds. Meet other people who have birds, listen to guest lecturers and more.
