The CCRI Lady Knights continued hosting the 10th Annual CCRI Softball Pink Out with a tripleheader of games. The Lady Knights faced the Express from the Monroe College Bronx Campus. That game was followed by Monroe playing the Mustangs of Central Maine Community College from Auburn, ME. The weekend concluded with CCRI playing the Mustangs of CMCC. CCRI beat the Express 13-0, then The Express beat Central Maine 12-10 and then CCRI beat Central Maine 16-3.  With the two victories the Lady Knights are now back to .500 with a 5-5 record on the season.

Game 1: CCRI- 13 Monroe Express- 0 (5 innings)

In the circle for the Lady Knights in the first game of the day was Tri-Captain Hannah Caliri (Pawtucket) and she was flat out dominant. Caliri threw four impeccable innings allowing just two hits, walking one and striking out 10 Monroe Express batters. Caliri earns her second victory of the year and was relieved by Tri-Captain Sam Muller (North Stonington, CT) who was even better throwing one inning and striking out all three batters she faced. That’s 13 K’s for the two captains in just five innings.

At the plate for CCRI they were just as dominant scoring 13 runs on 16 hits in just four at bats. The Lady Knights had seven players with multi-hit efforts led by Alexis LaBelle (Warwick) who had two hits including a double with two runs scored and three RBIs. Tri-Captain Maddie McDonald (East Providence, RI) added two hits including a triple with an RBI and a run scored. Tri-Captain Hannah Caliri added two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Freshman Hannah Northup (Warwick) had two hits with an RBI and two runs scored. Freshman Raevyn Watson (East Providence) had two hits with two RBIs and a run scored.  Rounding out the multi-hit efforts was freshman Victoria Passaretti (East Greenwich) who had two hits and two runs scored.

Game 2: CCRI- 16 Central Maine CC- 3 (5 innings)

In the circle for the last game of 10th annual Pink Out Weekend was Dayna Jackvony (Cumberland) who, once again, was on her game throwing five strong innings allowing two earned runs on six hits, walking one and striking out six Mustang batters.  Jackvony was in full control with her Lady Knights offense providing plenty of run support she pounded the strike zone and allowed one earned run in each of the first two innings and an unearned run in the third and then retired six of the last eight batters she faced to earn her third victory of the year. Dayna also contributed at the plate with a triple, a walk and a run scored.

At the plate, once again, the Lady Knights bats were scintillating with five multi-hit efforts in the game. The Lady Knights were led by freshman Hannah Northup who went 4-4 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and three runs scored. Tri-Captain Hannah Caliri had two hits, a walk with five RBIs and a run scored. Victoria Passaretti had two more hits with a triple and RBI and two runs scored. Tri-Captain Maddie McDonald had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Rounding out the big offensive day for the Lady Knights was Mackenzie Doyle (Glocester) with two hits, a walk and two runs scored.
