Celebrating Catholic schools

As part of Catholic School Week , St. Rose of Lima second graders were asked to write a report on school activities. The following is the report written by Laurel McMahon, along with a photo of the class and the project they completed. “During Catholic Schools Week, Saint Rose of Lima second graders tie-dyed class T-shirts. First they voted on a class mascot. After that, they tie-dyed the shirt sky blue. Then they traced on a dove as their mascot, and on Student Appreciation Day they took a picture with their principal, Mrs. Fuller. It took a lot of effort and work. They said they chose the dove as a mascot because it is the sign of the Holy Spirit and because it is holy and Catholic. Also, they did it all by themselves! They said it was extremely exciting and fun.”
