Charles H. Mahoney, 92, of Warwick, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Brentwood Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Johnson) Mahoney.
Mr. Mahoney was born in Providence, the son of the late Charles H. Sr. and Florence M. (Harris) Mahoney. He served in the United States Army during WWII. For over 40 years Mr. Mahoney was employed by N.E. Telephone Co., now Verizon and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Devoted to his family, he was always willing to help others. Mr. Mahoney was a faithful member of Saints Rose and Clement Parish.
He leaves his devoted daughters, Maryan Stasiowski and her husband Alan of Warwick and Sheila A. Whiting of Victor, NY, His dear friend, Irma Carolan, of Warwick, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by his son-in-law Lawson Whiting.
His funeral will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Clement Church, 111 Long St., Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the Mother Teresa Outreach Ministry of the Church would be greatly appreciated. Arrangement
