Charles S. Langley

Charles S. Langley, 84, of Edman Street, Warwick, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Petrarca) Langley.

Born in Exeter, NH, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Stella (Chadwick) Langley. He resided in Warwick for many years. Mr. Langley originally was a dairy farmer later becoming employed with the State of RI as a grounds superintendent for many years before retiring. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, a member of the William Shields, Jr. American Legion, Post 43 and a member of the Family Motor Coach Association.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda A. Langley, with whom he lived and several cousins. He was the brother of the late Ada Lunhome, Bernice Farren and Ruth Harper.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the Prata-Gallogly Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
