Christopher Major, 54, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joyce L. (Davis) Major.
Born in New Britain, CT., he was the son of Barbara A. (Chandler) Hoitt, and the late Norman E. Major, Sr. and the stepson of Ronald Hoitt. Christopher was employed as a security guard. Christopher was a very giving person, full of life, family comedian and could make people feel good when things were not going right.
He was the stepfather of Danny and Jason Bidondi; brother of Annette Cramer, Norman Major, Jr., Bruce Major and Lisa Santos; grandfather of Sasha Bidondi and stepbrother of Lisa Ann Overwood and Ronald Hoitt, Jr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews with whom he was very close.
His funeral will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
