College Planning Center Director
Courtney McEntee of Cranston has been named Assistant Director of The College Planning Center of Rhode Island. McEntee has been with the CPC since 2002 as an educational counselor. She previously worked as a college and transition counselor at the Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center in Providence. McEntee’s experience includes implementing and developing curriculum for high school students, particularly those from inner-city backgrounds. She is adept at exposing students to a culture of higher education, as well as assisting with all aspects of planning for college. While at the MET, McEntee provided informal counseling, and assisted students in developing relationships with institutions of higher education and potential employers. In her new role, McEntee will capitalize on her experience working in high schools, particularly those with diverse student populations. Her skills will enhance the full complement of free college planning and counseling services offered at the CPC. McEntee holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and is a member of New England Association for College Admission Counseling and the Rhode Island Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
