Constance C. (Fratus) Brown, 92, a former Warwick, RI resident, died April 25, 2017 at the JFK Medical Center in Atlantis. She was the beloved wife of the late Theron D. “T.D.” Brown.
Born in Pawtucket, RI she was a daughter of the late John and Florence (Stones) Fratus. Connie was a past member of Warwick Country Club and Atlantis Golf Club. She was a very active member of her condo association. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge and spending time with family. She was a devoted friend and neighbor who was always ready to help when needed. Connie will be remembered as a strong, lovely lady – always gracious and giving. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her sisters: Florence Oliver (husband Frank) of Riverside, RI and Joan Lindsay (husband, the late Jack) of West Warwick, RI. She was sister of the late John Fratus and Shirley Elman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the loving stepmother of Theron C. Brown, Fredric P. Brown and the late Jean M. Prout. She was the grandmother of nine and a great grandmother & great-great grandmother.
Her family will gather privately and celebrate her life at a memorial service later this month. Interment will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Condolences may be offered and memories shared online at carpenterjenks.com
