The game is going. The beer is flowing. The lights are glowing, friendships are growing and it’s even snowing! This is the scene on a misty mid-December night at County Cork Irish Pub, Warwick’s very own authentic Irish pub. This is where locals and newcomers alike come to enjoy a hearty meal, a tall pour of beer, friendly servers and an atmosphere that transports pub-goers from the stress of the day to a place where they can truly unwind ~ especially at the holidays.
County Cork Irish Pub is found tucked in a quiet corner of the city, just off West Shore Road. It overlooks the sparkling waters of Warwick Cove which are teaming with boats in the summer and rough whitecaps in the winter. It is one of the city’s hidden gems.
On any given night, you will find a room full of diners, some of whom have come with friends and family to watch football on one of the pub’s large screen televisions while others are here to indulge their appetites on any of pub’s tantalizing menu items. There are juicy burgers, lightly-battered Fish & Chips, steaming hot chowder, Guinness Stew and Cottage Pie. Try their sticky chicken wings, gourmet stuffies, crisp garden salads and hand-cut fries. Everything here is made-to-order, just the way you like it.
Head cook Ken is always whipping up some winter dinner specials at this time of year. On Mondays, Ken’s golden-brown Fish & Chips are only $9.00. On Wednesdays, any burger paired with a domestic bottle of beer or glass of House wine is only $9.99. On Thursdays, the steak and chicken quesadillas (with the beer or house wine) are also an incredible $9.99.
Stay tuned for Ken’s three new burgers coming this February!
If you are a Patriots fan, you will love the pub’s game-time specials: $2 tacos and chili dogs, $1 hotdogs and .50 cents/chicken wings. You might want to come try out the holiday beer specials as well, including Shipyard’s newest release, the Eggnog beer!
From the bar are some other classic seasonal cocktails including Spiked cider with Jameson martinis, Candy apple martini’s, Pumpkin martini’s and eggnog martinis. Come and get ‘em (they are delicious)!
