County Cork Irish Pub Join the festivities all day long on St. Patrick’s Day

Far across the Atlantic, across the rolling hills of Ireland, preparations are well underway for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Dancers are busy rehearsing their step-dancing routines, bag-pipers are stretching their lungs and parade-goers are putting on every green thing they have! Pubs everywhere are bracing themselves for all the activity and revelry that will mark this most joyous of Irish traditions. As Cora McAuliffe, the owner of County Cork Irish Pub, relates, “Everything shuts down on St. Patrick’s Day – except the pubs!”

While all the cities and towns in Rhode Island may not stop for St. Patrick’s Day, you can be sure that in a small corner of Warwick, there are plenty of celebrations planned! Cora, a true Irish “colleen” who reigns from County Cork, invites her loyal customers and newcomers alike to join in all the shenanigans at County Cork Irish Pub. The pub opens its doors at 9:00am and remains serving drinks and its popular St. Patrick’s Day menu until the very last pint is poured!

A heated tent, complete with a beer bar, will help move the crowd outside into the late winter sun while live entertainment lights up the pub. Beginning at 9:00am, DJ Cross will start the day until 4:00pm. At 5:00pm, the night heats up with the sounds of the popular band “Wet Paint.” There will be plenty of Guinness beer to go around on top of the classic favorites ~ Corned Beef and Reuben sandwiches, chicken tenders and wings, and the pub’s famous Saugies.

County Cork Irish Pub has long been the passion of Cora, affectionately known as “Cora from Cork,” who has brought her charm and love of good food, good company, and good drink to our shores. No matter the season, this casual, cozy tavern draws crowds of young and old ~ all who come not only for the authentic Irish and American-style fare but also for Cora’s genuine hospitality. Everyone is welcome here.

On any given night, friends and neighbors can be found gathered around the pub’s mahogany bar while they sip on a tall original pour of beer and linger over a succulent burger, platter of golden-brown Fish & Chips, skillet of Bangers & Mash, bowl of hearty chili or any number of other soulful comfort foods. One easily feels as though they have escaped the world here at County Cork Irish Pub.

Patrons also love the hot breakfasts which are served here every Sunday morning from 9:00am to noon. Fluffy omelets. Syrup-drenched stacks of pancakes. Homemade hash. Savory breakfast meats. Indulge!
