URI celebrates 125 with jazz at Oakland Beach

ALL JAZZED UP: Alumni, current students and even a professor from the University of Rhode Island music program came down to Oakland Beach to serenade a small gathering of jazz lovers with covers of old favorites from the likes of Frank Sinatra and James Brown, as well as some toe-tapping original riffing. The performance is part of a series of celebrations in honor of URI’s 125th anniversary and was free for all to enjoy.
