Cynthia Watkins, age 61, passed away on October 26, 2013 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on August 18, 1952 and was a graduate of Walter’s State Community College as Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the ETSU Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa & graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She had been employed as a C.N.A. for many years. Cynthia was a registered songwriter with B.M.I. in Nashville, TN. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting & cooking.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Watkins, Bristol, Virginia; two sons, Ronald F. Harris, Jr., Gray, Tennessee and Charles “Buck” Mayzes, Gray, Tenn.; one “daughter”, Haley Werth, Gray, Tenn. Also by her mother, Dorothy Brochu, Warwick, RI, one sister, Betty Ann Spangler, Oroville, California; her mother-in-law, Hazel Goodpasture, Marion, Vir.; and her loving dog, Sir Kelsey Watkins of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her step-father Hector Brochu; a brother David Silva; & her father-in-law Dickie Goodpasture.
In following with Cynthia’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no public visitation or services held.
