'Director's Choice' Talk Set for Aug. 17 at South County Museum

South County Museum Executive Director Jim Crothers presents “Director’s Choice,” a close-up look at his favorite artifacts on Thursday, August 17 from 7 to 8:30 in the Metz Hall at the museum. Crothers has selected his 20 favorites from the museum’s collection of over 20,000 artifacts as examples reflecting the rural, village and maritime heritage of South County. “I really like most of these because they are examples of what some might call Yankee ingenuity,” said Crothers. “Others are interesting because the are early precursors to tools and implements we have today.”

The gallery talk is open to the general public. Admission is $5. Museum members free. Light refreshments will be served. For additional information call 401-783-5400 or visit www.southcountymuseum.org. South County Museum is located at 115 Strathmore Street, Narragansett, R.I.
