Dyllan James McKenzie


Dyllan James McKenzie, 26, passed away July 11. He was the beloved son of the late Lori E. McKenzie and grandson of Cheryl and Frank Adams.

Dyllan attended Norwood School, Aldrich Jr. High and Pilgrim High School. He palyed on the hockey team. He was an enthusiastic member of the Boys & Girls Club and an avid fisherman. Dyllan was a Brown Belt in Karate and would have earned his Black Belt if he hadn’t left Florida. He was self-taught in fluent Spanish. He started swimming lessons at 3 months and was an avid swimmer and diver. He wanted to be a marine biologist or lawyer.

He was an organ donor and gave the gift of life to at least three people.

A Memorial Mass was held Sunday, July 16 at St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave. All were welcome to attend.

The family hopes that more effort will come to help in the opiod abuse problem and in the need for increased help in providing aid to people with mental health issues.
