Earl A. Barden, died January 17, 2012 at the home of his daughter after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of the late Dorothea Bonneau Behm Barden.
Earl was born on May 24, 1924 in North Scituate to the late Cora (Caswell) and Earl Barden. Mr. Barden was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Earl retired from Brockton V.A. Hospital as a psychiatric attendant, previously working at the I.M.H. of RI. Mr. Barden was a life member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fireman Association and a founding member of the Oakland Beach Sportsmen Club.
He was the brother of the late Doris Duclaw and is survived by his sisters, Margret Marandola, Evelyn Dolby and Elizabeth Fiske. Earl was the father of Carol Suprenaunt of Surprize, Ariz., Patricia Barden, Penelope Bond and Earl Barden Jr. of Warwick. Mr. Barden leaves eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Services were held at Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, North Scituate. Internment was at Barden Cemetery.
