Edward F. Cunningham, 95, of Hollywood Avenue, a retired plumbing contractor, died November 28, 2011 at Kent Regency. He was the husband of the late Erma F. (Doeg) Cunningham.

He was a son of the late William H. and Winifred A. (O’Hara) Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was a World War II Army veteran, serving as a medic in the European Theatre.

Edward was the beloved father of Carol C. Bliss and her husband, Allan, Jean Friel and the late Edward Cunningham; loving grandfather of Christopher, Scott, Brian, Kerry and Allison; brother of James Cunningham, Rita Brooksbank, Teresa Salisbury, Winifred O’Rourke and the late John, William and Joseph Cunningham and Mary Leonard. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Name Church, 99 Camp St., Providence. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
