Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Dorsey) Englund, age 86, of Tidewater Drive, Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry. She was the wife of Donald H. Englund.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James A. and Rose M. (Hetherman) Dorsey, she lived in Warwick for over 60 years. Mrs. Englund was employed as an office manager at the former Zayre-Ames Department Store in Warwick for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the William Shields Post #43 American Legion Auxilliary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Steven M. Englund and his wife Nita of Key West, FL, Michael D. Englund of Port Orange, FL, William J. Englund of Warwick, and David J. Englund and his wife JoAnne of Warwick; a son-in-law, David M. Couch of Warwick; a sister, Virginia Rosa and her husband Frank of Warwick; a brother, Thomas Dorsey and his wife Janet of Cranston; six grandchildren, Kerri Collins, Carlee Spur, Christopher Englund, Matthew Englund, Dylan Englund and Alina Englund; and three great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donna L. Couch, and the sister of the late Mary DeRobbio McDermott, James Dorsey and Irene Moniz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, December 13, from 8-10 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
