Ella M. (Swanson) Fish, 89, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018, in Smithfield, RI. She was the loving wife for 67 years to Earle C. Fish.
Ella was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Herman and Nancy (Redland) Swanson and had been a lifelong resident of Warwick. She worked as a clerical secretary for the Winde-McCormick Company of Providence for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Warwick where she served on the Alter Guild for many years. Ella along with her husband were strong advocates during their daughter’s lifetime.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Fish (Holly) of Greenland, NH, Ronald E. Fish (Beth) of Warwick, RI; and grandchildren: Ryan, Michael, Kristina, Cheryl, Eric, Katherine, and three great-grandchildren. Ella was the mother of the late Diane E. Fish and sister of the late Roland Swanson.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1817 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Visitation will be Sunday in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick 4-7 p.m. Interment in the Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
