Esther L. (Henry) Peterson-Taylor

Esther L. (Henry) Peterson-Taylor, 93 of Warwick, died at Kent Hospital on Tuesday May 15, 2018.

She was the wife of the late Alden J. Peterson and the late Walter Taylor.

Esther was born in Warwick a daughter of the late Peter and Esther L. (Vickery) Henry Jr. She was a waitress at the former Governor’s Steak House and the Valley Steak House. Esther was an active Volunteer in many organizations, and she was one of the oldest members of the Woodbury Union Church, Presbyterian. Esther was a former member of the Warwick Housing Authority Commission, a member of the Friends of The Senior Centers, and Gaspee Seniors, and was also a Charter Member of the Pilgrim Senior Center.

She was the devoted mother of Raymond Peterson Sr. of Summerfield, Florida, Alden C. Peterson of Warwick, Beth L. Higham of Old Town, Florida and Bonnie L. Authelet of Warwick. Mrs. Peterson- Taylor was a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was the sister of the late Helen Delory, Thelma Breedon, Audrey Holmander, Mitzy Coutcher and Mabel Henry.

A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday June 30, 2018 at a time to be announced, in the Woodbury Union Church, corner of West Shore Road and Beach Avenue, Warwick. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
