Ex-Pat Tomaselli sets Newbury's all-time marl
Former Pilgrim standout Briana Tomaselli achieved a personal milestone on Sept. 26 when she became Newbury College’s all-time points leader in a 2-1 defeat to Emerson. She set the mark in the 11th minute of the match with what was her seventh goal of the season, accepting a pass from Ashleigh Guy before depositing the ball into the upper right corner of the goal. Though only a sophomore, Tomaselli now has 65 points for her collegiate career, after adding a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win over Wheelock on Oct. 4. For the season, Tomaselli now has eight goals and four assists, leading the team in both categories for a total of 20 points.
Warwick Vets product Lindsey Garvey has blossomed into a markswoman of the highest caliber for Emmanuel College. Garvey currently leads the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in game-winning goals with five, and her 11 goals on the season are good for a tie for second on the conference’s goal-scoring charts.
Toll Gate graduate Kelsey Imondi has scored four goals for Assumption so far in 2011, leading the Greyhounds in that statistical category. Imondi was able to establish her lead on the team’s goal-scoring chart by notching two for Assumption in a 2-0 win over New Haven on October 2.
Stephanie Santos (Toll Gate) currently leads the University of Rhode Island in goals with five, although she hasn’t found the back of the net since scoring a pair in a 5-0 demolition of Iona on September 23.
Ashley Jamieson, formerly of Warwick Vets, has played in all 13 of Salve Regina’s contests, notching a goal, which was the fifth tally for the Seahawks in an 8-1 thrashing of Rhode Island College on September 13.
Steph Morse (Vets) has started all 14 games for Bryant, who currently own a 5-6-1 record.
Cassy Arines (Vets) has appeared in all 11 games for Rhode Island College, starting eight of them for the Anchorwomen, who are presently in the midst of a nine-game losing streak after starting the season 2-0.
