Imagine you live in a village where your neighbors are being killed by werewolves, and you could be next. During the day, you can conspire with your fellow villagers to eliminate a neighbor you think might be a werewolf. But if you guess wrong, someone will die the next night. How good would you be at guessing who’s a werewolf? And if you’re the werewolf, how well could you fool your fellow townsfolk?
