The Buckeye Brook Coalition will conduct 10-minute direct fish count training sessions for all new volunteers this Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the fish count location near the Northwest corner of the Knights of Columbus parking lot, 475 Sandy Lane in Warwick, near the memorial to Steve Insana.
Previous volunteers not planning on attending the training, email Jennifer Brooks, with your full name, email address, phone number, days of the week you are available to count in April and May (Monday through Sunday, either sunrise to noon or noon to sunset) to Jennifer.brooks@dem.ri.gov.
For those that have varied schedules and would prefer not to be on the Herring Count Schedule, that is fine, too.
