Frances Lavell Jackson died early Sunday morning March 17, 2019 at Steere House in Providence.
Born on August 2, 1927 she was the daughter of Patrick and Mary Lavell and the younger sister of the late Mary Gifford. Frances was the former wife of the late David L. Atwell, Sr. and the widow of the late Roy E. Jackson. Frances and her late husband enjoyed camping in Berwick, Maine and snowbirding each winter in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was known to knit up a storm and totally enjoy a family event.
She was the mother of David L. Atwell, Jr. of Warwick, Rhode Island and the grandmother of Leslie A. Bowen, Ellen M. Flynn, Michael D. Atwell, Rachel L. Neveu and Valerie L. Pratt as well as the great-grandmother of Lilliana G. and Emmalyn R. Bowen, Gavin A. Flynn, Madalyn E. Nichols and Alexa R. Pratt.
A private graveside service followed by interment at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery will follow at a later date.
