Fusionworks Dance Company Performs at The Barker Playhouse

Fusionworks, one of New England’s most beloved and longest standing modern dance companies, turned 30! As part of the 30th Anniversary Celebration, Fusionworks is bringing it's exciting repertory to the Barker Playhouse, Rhode Island’s oldest and longest standing theater for two performances only!

Recognized for its highly physical and thought provoking concerts Fusionworks celebrates its thirtieth season with performances that will inspire and excite you. From Vesperae, a dance performed to one of Mozart’s magnificent choral arrangements, to the deeply musical, rhythmically layered River Rocks, to the non-stop jumping Elliptic/Stippling Line, to the heart-pounding dance, Please, created by this season’s first place winner of Fusionworks’ Nationally Emerging Choreographers Festival, Aaron McGloin, there is truly something for everyone in these concerts.

These concerts will be “Unwrapped.” Fusionworks Founder & Artistic Director Deb Meunier will speak to the audience during the performances to give brief insights into the dances, and offer exciting, interesting information about the process behind the making of this incredible performance art. Each concert will also feature an informal post-performance reception where guests can enjoy light refreshments, have a glass of wine & meet the dancers and director.
