Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up three cents this week according to AAA Northeast.
AAA Northeast’s April 24 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.35 per gallon. Rhode Island’s price is seven cents below the national average of $2.42. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 20 cents lower at $2.15.
“The national average price for gasoline increased slightly each day last week, as demand is increasing with the start of the spring/summer driving season,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs.
