On June 3, hundreds of people gathered for the Annual Gaspee Days Concert held in Pawtuxet. Pictured are Cassidy Stewart, age 6, with her mother, Karen Stewart, her grandmother, Elaine Plunkett along with their friend from Ireland, Aideen Kingham enjoying an evening of musical entertainment on the eve of Cassidy’s 7th birthday. Gaspee Days continues this weekend with the road race and parade on Saturday. The celebration concludes on Sunday with the burning of the Gaspee at 4 p.m. in Pawtuxet Cove, which is best viewed from Pawtuxet Park. Below Saturday’s crowd waits for the performance by the Warwick Symphony Orchestra. (Warwick Beacon photos by Steve Popiel)
