The Bishop Hendricken golf team remained unbeaten on Tuesday afternoon at Warwick Country Club, cruising past East Greenwich and Pilgrim with a team score of 154 to improve to 11-0 this spring.

The Avengers weren’t too far behind the Hawks, posting a 1-1 record with a score of 166, while the Pats earned an 0-2 record with a team score of 242.

On the par-34 front nine at Warwick Country Club, Hendricken’s Colin Sutyla (36) and Joey Tucker (37) produced the top two scores on the afternoon. East Greenwich’s Ryan Malloy carded the third-best score with a 38 while playing in the top group, and Hendricken’s Sean Irons (40) and Matt Rickard (41) figured into the Hawks’ team score with impressive rounds, as well.

Luke Pearson (42) and Dan Cavanagh (44) also shot good rounds for the Hawks, but did not score.

Pilgrim junior Dan Goudis carded a 48, the top individual score for the Pats. Michael Bartholomew (63), William Tatewosian (65) and Emma Williams (66) also competed for Pilgrim.

Tuesday concluded the RIIL dual season for the Hawks and Pats.

Hendricken will aim to end Moses Brown’s run of three straight state titles on May 30-31 at the two-day RIIL State Championship at Cranston Country Club. The Hawks last won a golf state crown back in 2001.
