Governor's Cup making March 2 appearance at Sullivan Tire

Sullivan Tire, longtime supporters of the Pawtucket Red Sox, will help celebrate the team's historic 2012 Governor's Cup championship by hosting the Cup at the store at 1102 Jefferson Boulevard on Saturday, March 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fans are invited to stop by the store to take photos with the Cup and enjoy light refreshments and free giveaways.

The 2012 season marked the team's first International League Championship title in 28 years and was won in spectacular fashion with a three-game sweep over the Charlotte Knights.

"2012 was a fantastic year for the PawSox organization and fans, and Sullivan Tire is so proud to be affiliated with the team," said Mark Gillard from the Sullivan Tire Marketing Team. "Let's keep the victory celebration going this winter as we all gear up for the 2013 baseball season."

Sullivan Tire is a locally owned family business started by Robert J. Sullivan in 1955. The foundation on which Robert J. Sullivan started Sullivan Tire was "treat everyone, customers and fellow employees, as you would a member of your family." More than 50 years later, the tradition continues. Today, Sullivan Tire is New England's home for automotive care, with 65 full service auto repair locations and 15 Commercial Truck Tire Centers throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine.
