Grainger Foundation grant to help fund NEIT scholarships
The Grainger Foundation donated a $10,000 scholarship to New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) in support of its mission to provide students with a cutting edge, hands-on technical education combined with an integrated liberal arts core.
“This grant will be used to offer scholarship opportunities for eligible students in our Associate in Science degree program in refrigeration/air conditioning, heating and gas technology,” said Bob Theroux, Vice President of Finance and Business Administration.
This donation was recommended by Jim Crowley, Branch Manager of W.W. Grainger, Inc.’s, Warwick location. Grainger has been a part of the Warwick business community for 65 years as the leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance, repair and operating products.
“We are proud to recommend the programs offered by New England Institute of Technology,” said Crowley. “We understand the need for scholarship support and recognize the important role that technical colleges play in providing quality training to help students meet the increasing technical demands of today’s workplace.”
The Grainger Foundation, an independent, private foundation based in Lake Forest, Ill., was established in 1949 by William W. Grainger, founder of W.W. Grainger, Inc.
