Greene named senior communications manager

Brenda Greene has joined Centreville Bank as Vice President, Senior Communications Manager.

In her new position, Greene is responsible for strategic, external and internal communications, public relations, reputation management and media relations.

Greene comes to Centreville with some 14 years of financial services, communications experience. She most recently served as the Vice President, Corporate Communications at Webster Bank. In that role, she was responsible for leading regional corporate and government communications. Additionally, Greene served as a member of the investor relations team and as an earned media communications lead for Webster Bank subsidiary, HSA Bank. Prior to her work for Webster, she served as Corporate Communications Manager at The Washington Trust Company. Her career also includes senior communications positions in the public, higher education and agency sectors.

Greene has earned numerous awards for her communications work, including recognition from the New England Financial Marketing Association, Publicity Club of New England and Northeast Economic Development Council.

A board member of The Chorus of Westerly, Greene also is a singer in The Chorus. She is an active volunteer for various organizations, including Junior Achievement of Rhode Island, Rhode Island Community Food Bank and the United Way of Rhode Island. Greene earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Arts in Journalism from Regent University. She currently resides in Wyoming, RI.
