Harry M. Robinson Jr., 88, of Warwick, died peacefully on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at home. He was the beloved husband of Marlene T. (Mullin) Robinson.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Harry M. Robinson, Sr. and Julia V. (Burns) Robinson. Harry joined the faculty at Bryant University in 1966 and retired as a Professor Emeritus in the Science Department in 2011. He was a graduate of La Salle Academy, Class of 1947; Saint Anselm College, Class of 1951; and Fordham University, Class of 1956. Harry served as a Councilman from 1984-86 in the 9th Ward in Warwick. He was a member of the East Greenwich Yacht Club and the Warwick Height’s Tennis Club, coached several youth sports leagues and was a Communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church for fifty years. Harry also honorably served in the United States Navy Reserves. Harry was an avid reader, sailor and competitive tennis player.

His proudest accomplishments in life were his two daughters: Julie Ann Hayes (Steven) and Mary Mullin Murphy (Stephen). He was their biggest supporter in the classroom, on playing fields and in ice rinks. His granddaughter, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hayes, made his life complete. Recently he could be found on the sidelines at the Rocky Hill School Middle School field hockey and lacrosse games cheering for his greatest joy! He was the brother of the late Janet M. Robinson and Mary E. Robinson. The family wishes to thank All Is Well Home Care, especially Gerri Little, for their extraordinary care.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 9:45 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
