Sara Hathaway was among a group of mostly Emerson College Political Communication students that recently traveled to Iowa to witness first-hand the unfolding of the Iowa Caucus and related events. This included listening to politicians' pitches and comparing the strengths and weaknesses of the caucus system.
Students gained extensive experience and knowledge about the country's political process, met candidates and politicians, and were actively engaged throughout the entirety of the caucus, with surprises at every turn.
Hathaway of Warwick is pursuing a degree in political communication and is a member of the Emerson College Class of 2022.
