Mayor Scott Avedisian and staff members from the Department of Tourism Culture and Development got to sample fried chicken sliders (served up on waffles and soaked with syrup) plus other delights at the recent opening of Open Season, a food truck and catering company based at 10 Music Lane across from City Hall. The company is using the Music Lane establishment that has a history as a restaurant and café as its commissary. Dave Livesey and his wife Kristen are running the operation and, naturally, are doing the country style cooking. As well as catering, Open Season’s mobile truck is a fully equipped culinary unit, serving clients at farmers markets, festivals, fairs and at private functions. Open Season specializes in BBQ’s, pig roasts, clambakes and game dinners. In addition, their chefs can create a specialized menu for any size and type of event. They are online at www.camochefs.com. TheLiveseys joined the mayor for the ribbon cutting as friends lined up to get the photo. (Warwick Beacon photos)
