Health, well being of Alzheimer’s caregivers topic of Nov. 21 presentations

Cornerstone Adult Services will host “Alzheimer’s Disease: What It Is and What Can Be Done,” by Joseph Gaugler, PhD on Nov. 21.

The presentation will focus on the best way to support families and professionals who care for people with memory loss. Dr. Gaugler aims to improve the health and well-being of caregivers through innovative programs and technologies.

The presentation, free and open to the public, will be offered twice on Thursday, November 21st from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Warwick Public Library, 600 Sandy Lane, Warwick and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Adult Services Memory Care Center 140 Warwick Neck Avenue, Warwick.

Space for both presentations is limited, so pre-registration is suggested but not required. To pre-register, call Cornerstone Adult Services at 401-739-2844.

Cornerstone Adult Services operates three adult day health centers in Rhode Island, including two in Warwick, a Memory Care Center on Warwick Neck Ave., and an adult day center in Apponaug. Cornerstone is a member of Saint Elizabeth Community, a not for profit provider of care and services for seniors with 10 Rhode Island locations.
