High quality connections topic for PMI program


The Ocean State Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) will hold its monthly meeting Sept. 13 at the Providence Marriott, One Orms St., Providence, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Registration for the meeting must be made by Sept. 10 at 11:55 p.m.

The cost is $30 for members/$35 for non-members. Presentation only is no cost for members/$5 for non-members.

The featured speaker will be Dr. Wayne Baker, who is the Chair of the Management & Organizations area at the University Michigan Ross School of Business and the Robert P. Thome Professor of Business Administration. Among his many publications, he has written two business bestsellers, Achieving Success Through Social Capital: Tapping the Hidden Resources in Your Personal and Business Networks and Networking Smart. He teaches and does research on positive social capital, social networks, generosity and values.

The program is titled “Positive Social Capital: How High-Quality Connections, Energy and Reciprocity Create Success.”
