Holiday lights benefit animal shelter

To the Editor:

You recently ran an article regarding people decorating their houses for the holidays. One couple mentioned was Deb and Howard Rowland on West Shore Road. On Saturday, Dec. 17, they offered free hot cider, cookies and other goodies for the public to enjoy and had a donation display to benefit the Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter.

Thanks to Deb and Howard, and the generosity of the public, more than $625 was donated! These donations will directly assist us in supporting the Warwick Animal Shelter by providing the shelter with the necessary tools for the care and comfort of the animals, which are there through no fault of their own.

We would like to thank and commend Deb and Howard for their efforts on the behalf of our non-profit group, and to thank the wonderful citizens who made their contributions.
