Hospital to get SimMan today

SimMan® 3G, a lifelike adult patient simulator will visit Kent Hospital today, in the Trowbridge education classroom 4B at 11 a.m. for a special demo to all staff.

The Kent Hospital Foundation aims to raise about $90,000 to secure this piece of equipment at Kent Hospital. SimMan® 3G will help train our physicians, residents, nurses and provide continued education for hundreds of our staff each year, without any risk to patients.

SimMan® 3G has amazingly realistic anatomy. He breathes, has a pulse and even bleeds.

SimMan® 3G can imitate an incredible array of medical conditions from breathing problems and drug reactions, to heart attack and stroke. This essential tool is used to teach critical skills, allowing caregivers to practice the emergency treatment of patients and reduces medical errors.
