Hughes, Vitt named to RIAC posts; Seabury, Pimental promoted

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) has announced the arrivals of Linda Hughes, Vice President of Marketing, Air Service & Media Relations, and Christine Vitt, Senior Vice President and Chief Infrastructure Officer. RIAC also announced two promotions. Eric Seabury is being promoted to Assistant Vice President of Engineering and Tim Pimental is being promoted to Vice President of Customer Service.

“We are excited to make these staffing announcements," said Iftikhar Ahmad, President & CEO of RIAC in a release. "All four of these individuals bring talent, expertise, and positive energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them as part of our team as we continue to position the airport as a strong economic driver in our community.”

Vitt joins the Rhode Island Airport Corporation team as Senior Vice President and Chief Infrastructure Officer. She is the former Vice President of Strategic Planning and Sustainability for The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA), which operates the Nashville International Airport. She led her team in many functions including strategy, planning, and environmental sustainability. She won “Most Innovative ” for Nashville Business Journal ’s Employee of the Year Awards. In her new role at RIAC, Vitt will be overseeing planning, development/engineering, and environmental initiatives.

Hughes will serve as Vice President of Marketing, Air Service & Media Relations. She comes to RIAC with 18 years of aviation experience. Her recent position was that of Air Service and Marketing Manager for the Dayton International Airport where she managed external and internal communications on behalf of the City of Dayton. In her new role at PVD, Hughes will be the main contact for Marketing and Media Relations and will work diligently with Iftikhar Ahmad in the development of Air Service.

Pimental has worked at RIAC at T. F. Green Airport (PVD) for the past 21 years. Over the years, he has held positions in Operations, Public Affairs, Marketing, and Air Service Development. In his role as Vice President of Customer Service, he will focus on delivering a comfortable, friendly, and efficient airport atmosphere with the services and amenities air travelers expect when they take to the skies.
