Irene R. Johnson, 74, of Warwick died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence.
Born in Boston, she was one of five children of the late Thomas K. and Edna (Chappelle) Johnson. Irene was employed as a Dietary Nutritionist at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence until retiring.
Irene is survived by her beloved children: Robert T. Mullen of West Warwick, Daniel P. Mullen of Warwick and Timothy E. Mullen; two cherished grandchildren: Tabitha Ann Jones Imondi and Tonya Lee Henderson-Kirk; and two great-grandchildren: Filomena and Francesco Imondi. She was the beloved mother of the late Michael Peter Mullen and Thomas Edward Mullen.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church, 722 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in Brayton Cemetery in Apponaug.
