To the Editor:
It is with regret to learn that Associate Editor Ethan Hartley has left his position at the Warwick Beacon after serving this excellent paper and publisher John Howell Jr. during these past two years. It was my pleasure to have known him while I served on the Warwick School Committee. His long, well-written articles covering our meetings and the overall concern for the students’ education never wavered. All reporting was clearly understandable and complete; the usage of the English language was brilliant.
Always the young gentleman, Ethan will be difficult to replace, in my opinion. I wish him success with his new employment in Providence and his upcoming marriage to the “Warwick girl” in the spring.
