James D. Grant, 74, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Gail (Stewart) Grant.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Robert P. and Bertha (Frazier) Grant. Mr. Grant was employed as a machinist for Hamel Dahl and various other companies before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed golfing and boating.
He is survived by his companion Donna Barone; stepchildren Colleen G. Nash and her husband, James C. Nash, Joseph Walsh, Jr. and his wife, Doreen E. Walsh; two brothers William and Frederick Grant; three sisters Phyllis D’Ambra, Gertrude Waterman and Barbara Olmstead; granddaughters, Kellie M. Nash and Jamie N. Nash and her fiancé Christopher S. Juncker and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert and Donald Grant.
A Chapel service with Military Honors will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, One Rhode Island Ave, Johnston.
