James E. Peckham, 65, died December 12, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Karen L. (Connelly) Peckham.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Milton and Addie A. (Jackson) Pekcham, he resided in Warwick for most of his life. James was employed as a computer analyst with Tecnor Apex in Pawtucket for over 20 years, retiring in 2008, and had formerly been employed at the Leesona Corp. for more than 25 years. He was a Vietnam Army veteran.

A member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Co. and the Oakland Beach Sportsmans Club, he was also an avid sports fan and loved his Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and New York Giants.

Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Melissa J. Fletcher and her husband, Aubrey, and Heather L. Peckham, and his grandson, James D. Peckham. He was the brother of Milton Peckham Jr., Robert Peckham, Pamela Stopyra and Debra Harrison and son-in-law of Louise G. Cahoon and the late Raymond W. Cahoon Sr.

His funeral service will be held Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. in Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation is Dec. 16 from 4-7 p.m. For information and condolences visit www.thequinnfuneralhome.com.
