James F. White, 81, owner and operator with his late wife of Lil and Jim’s Restaurant and White’s Family Restaurant for many years before retiring, died November 3, 2011 at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Knight) White.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Clifford and Annie (Lavey) White. Mr. White was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a life member of the Tri-State Lodge of Elks.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Cerullo; a sister, Mary LaCasse; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Deborah Arabian and brother of the late Clifford and Edward White, Dorothy Derosiers, Alice Greene, Ethel McKeon, Elizabeth Mitchell, Leona Simas and Anna Fantasia.

A private funeral service will be held Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. in Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. For information and condolences visit www.thequinnfuneralhome.com.
